To do so, we will cultivate faculty excellence in teaching, research and innovation in our graduate and undergraduate academic programs. We will enrich Salve’s student-athlete experience as our teams join premier leagues.
Our faculty have a profound impact on the lives of our students, make major contributions to their fields through critical research, and engage with communities and organizations across the state and around the globe. Endowed professorships demonstrate academic strength and purpose, and attract talented, ambitious faculty to join a thriving, innovative educational institution with a bold vision for the future. By increasing endowed professorships, we raise our academic profile and empower our faculty to advance their work in and out of the classroom.
Our academic programs and departments give shape and substance to the educational experience, provide resources and support to faculty and staff, and serve as an intellectual home for students. Donor funding enables Salve to promote innovation in both graduate and undergraduate programs by giving faculty the resources to create promising new opportunities, expand impactful and engaging academic programs, and develop new courses to prepare students for what the world needs now.
Athletics plays a critical role in the development of the whole student; nearly 30% of our students play on our Division III teams. Many of them are top academic performers and our teams have distinguished themselves both for their high-level play and their commitment to service. As our athletics program moves to premier NCAA conferences, where they will compete with peer institutions recognized for excellence, we will help our athletes and coaches level up. We will strengthen all aspects of our athletic operations as well as all facets of the student-athlete’s experience, empowering our teams to set new standards and reach new heights.
