Our Mission. Our Moment. This historic campaign will extend our reach, increase our influence and deepen our impact. As the University closes out its 75th anniversary celebrations, our focus is on the future – on a path illuminated by a bold strategic planning process that positions Salve as an essential contributor of good in a world that yearns for harmony and mercy.

Campaign Priorities

Transform Salve’s Undergraduate Experience

The experience of every Salve undergraduate student will be enhanced through the Salve Compass, our four-year hands-on program that will distinguish us from our peers, increase the value of a Salve degree and prepare students to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Elevate Salve’s Prominence

With a higher profile, we will attract a deep, talented and diverse pool of students and faculty, increasing the impact of the Salve community in the wider world. To do so, we will cultivate faculty excellence in teaching, research and innovation in our graduate and undergraduate academic programs. We will enrich Salve’s student-athlete experience as our teams join premier leagues.

Sustain Salve’s Foundation

To keep Salve’s foundation strong, we will expand our financial aid program, preserve our iconic campus, engage our alumni, and share Salve’s mercy mission across our local, national and global communities.

  • “Our mission calls us to meet this moment. With mercy deeply and inextricably woven into the fabric of our University, our commitment to serve – and to inspire – underscores every facet of our work. Mercy makes a difference; it changes lives.”

Our Stories

Rose Wagner

Supporting Nursing Students

Although Rose Wagner didn't attend Salve, her daughter Victoria is a 2011 graduate. Wagner has always had a fondness for Salve, which was strengthened when the University supported her family through a challenging period.

Generational Giving

In February 2025, Salve announced a $12 million gift from the Jean and David W. Wallace Foundation, focused on creating innovative experiences in business. The gift is the latest of many from the Wallace family, the University’s most generous benefactor.

Breaking Ground

Salve continues to break ground in its efforts to deliver a transformative educational experience. That momentum continues with two new structures emerging on campus – a state-of-the-art residence hall and a garden pavilion for student programming.
